Keeping firearms secure to prevent theft and to prevent untrained individuals from access to your gun is your responsibility as a gun owner.
I decided to purchase and install a Mossberg Loc-Box……. and you know what…..I like it.
The Mossberg Loc-Box is designed to keep a shotgun mounted to a wall in a secure condition.
There is a box which uses a keyed steel box and a locking panel to surround the receiver and there is a stud that mounts to the wall to help keep the barrel secure and stable.
When the barrel stud is mounted and the shotgun in secure here is how it looks.
Mounting was fairly simple using a drill, drill bits, screw drivers, a level, and template that is included. Instructions were clear for someone with some basic tools and knowledge.
Self adhesive foam pieces are included to line the interior of the box to keep your shot gun from being nicked or scuffed.
The shotgun action must be open as the firearm hangs on a coated hook located at the top of the Loc-Box.
Affixed side saddle shell holders are not compatible with the Loc-Box. No big deal. I have always preferred the detachable type made by S&J Hardware.
Magazine tube can be loaded or unloaded based on your preference.
I rate the Loc-Box very high to keep your shotgun secure and safe, but ready should a need arise.
